MAINTENANCE FITTER SHORT TERM

Maddison Wright is looking to recruit people to join the maintenance team at Mickleham. As part of the team, you will be integral in helping us safely manufacture market-leading products to the highest quality and service expectations of our customers.

This year, our client Dulux is stepping into the next generation of manufacturing innovation with the setup of a brand new facility in Mickleham. Their highly automated factory incorporates the latest in world-class technology and equipment.

LOCATED JUST 30KM NORTH OF CBD

MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

IMMEDIATE START 4 WEEK CONTRACT

OPPORTUNITY FOR FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Developing and following planned maintenance activities.

Diagnosing faults and proactively managing breakdowns of equipment or process failures.

Identifying opportunities and activities which improve plant and equipment, reliability and efficiency.

Conduct and participate in root cause analysis of breakdowns and/or process improvement.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Trade qualified Fitter & Turner

Understanding of Safety systems and processes including Rick Assessments, incident reporting and planned inspections

Have experience with MEX maintenance management operating system, or similar

Process and action oriented

Committed to their work and to maintaining a safe, harm-free environment

Able to problem-solve in a team environment

Respectful of others beliefs and opinions

Act with the company’s core values in mind under all circumstances

Possess or be able to obtain forklift, working at heights and confined space tickets

ESTIMATOR PERMANENT FULL TIME

To enable us to continue to service our clients growing needs to a high standard, we are on the search for a highly motivated SMP Estimator. This role can be located in our Geelong or Melbourne.

TRADE BACKGROUND OR EXPERIENCE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Strategic, rational and logical thinking.

Knowledge of construction and the process of construction sequencing with an emphasis on structural steel and fabrication industry.

Attention to detail with a focus on quality of work.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues effectively and efficiently.

Excellent organisational skills and an ability to meet deadlines.

Accomplished computer skills including MS Office; with the ability to demonstrate exceptional planning and organisational skills.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Assist the Business Development team with the preparation of proposals.

Request quotations from sub-contractors & suppliers for input into tenders and quotations.

Be able to interpret Structural, Architectural and Steel shop drawings, with respect to completing a structural steel take off.

Liaise with Builders, Engineers, Architects, other sub-contractors and our suppliers to seek further information and confirm scope and requirements.

Prepare take offs, create pricing and produce quotations.

Follow up on work quoted, as and when required.

Perform relevant administration work associated with estimating such as printing, emails and filing.

Assist in scheduling of workload and resources and ordering material when required.

Assist in project management of live projects where required.

Assist with negotiation and award of sub-contracts, supply agreements and purchase orders.

Develop Work Breakdown Structures in accordance with client and project requirements.

FABRICATOR STAINLESS STEEL

TRADE BACKGROUND OR EXPERIENCE

PERMANENT FULL TIME POSITION

EXCELLENT REMUNERATION

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Ability to manufacture and fabricate from supplied drawings.

Stainless-Steel welding, GTAW, MIG

Stainless steel fabrication, tank building.

Willing to work on-site where and if required.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Have a trade background.

Good ability in MIG and Tig /GTAW welding.

Knowledge with stainless steel welding and fabrication.

Attention to detail with a focus on quality of work.

Excellent organisational skills and an ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and follow instructions.

Strategic, rational and logical thinking.

Forklift license advantageous.

Candidates with a stable work history and experience within a manufacturing environment is preferential.
